Need Help Allen Datagraph 848 set up

Hi y'all! Newbie here

I recently picked up an Allen Datagraph 848 plotter/cutter for some hobby work, but I can't get it to communicate with the computer. It didn't come with any software or manual. I installed the driver from allendatagraph.com, some software, and connected via USB-RS232 BAFO adapter with null modem, and can't get it to operate. The unit turns on, control panel functions, and C233 displays. I've run some tests that verified the data is working between the computer & the cutter.

What am I missing? Can anyone help me get it working?

Model/Part: AD-848-GT-HT

Thanks in advance :notworthy:

So far sound good what you have done. Most people miss the null modem part.
For cutting softwares, you will not need driver. They sending the commands directly to the port.

Copy this file to your home folder.
Open a command prompt.
can type a dir command to confirm the file in the current directory.
Type: copy test.txt com3
Com3 port number can be different in your case. check Device Manager for the com port number assigned to your USB-Serial adapter.
Assuming Baud rate set to 9600bps on the cutter.
