Can I take these screws out?

I'm working on some activity buses (short buses) for our school corporation. Can I take these screws out of the body? They are bigger than the normal screws that trailers have in them...and would make it easier if they were out, but I don't wanna get in trouble. Anyone ever done one of these before, and taken them out?

HAHA. Yea, wouldn't want the armrest falling off. No, I would assume that they AREN'T there for decoration. I'll be putting two different things on there, at two different times. I've circled what will be removed. And they won't all be off at the same time. Row by row.

I just have no idea. If no one knows, I probably won't do it, but if anyone had done it in the past, I figured this was the only way to find out.

Kraig isn't that one of the emergency windows above the row? If so I would guess that they are holding extra support for integrity of Emergency exit!

I may try and put a call in to the bus mfg if I can get there info. I assume it's on the bus somewhere.

If it's in that small of area your o.k. Those secure the body panel to the loop that holds the bus together. You'll be o.k.

I'm pretty sure that you CAN take them out...I've witnessed your numerous abilities in varying environments and I am pretty confident that you have the ability.

SMILE Kraig, I hope your day is going better by now! ;-)

Take them out. You'll be fine. I do a lot of buses for a friend of mine that has a School Bus paint & body repair business. I've seen 100's of them apart. Those screws just hold the sheet metal to the ribs.

If parents ever seen a School Bus with the metal off the sides, they would never let there kids ride in one. There's nothing to them.

OHHHHH! Why didn't you say that in the first place! hehehe

SURE, just don't take too many out at one time, you will be ok.

If it falls apart, I'm drivin' this bus up to you Mike!

In this WIND You'll have a convertable... But seriously I do work for a company that works on these and if you don't need all of them out at once you can go that route. I was told that it's just a structural point for the sheet metal to be screwed to.:rock-n-roll:
