Can we optimize the cut in flexi?

The thread about the cut optimizer for corel got me thinking-
is there a way to do this in Flexi? I design in Flexi and print and
cut thru VersaWorks. I understand we can do it in the Flexi cut
window- but this doesn't work with VWorks. Gene

PS- I have read the threads about VW cutting according to the different levels
in the design prog... but that is often not workable to lay out- and I am
not so sure that it works- I typed the alphabet for a print and cut test and
VW would consistently cut one letter- and then go back and cut the rest in
sequence.

Flexi sends the cut job in the order of the layer stack by default. It does have an "Optimize Cutting Order" function as well based on a distance you set and things like "advance after plot" which one of my guys likes to turn off which irritates me.

Yep- I understand and use that, but I am sending the file to an external
rip that does not support sequential cut. Thanks Gene
