changing SC-540 from 6 colors into 4 colors

hi all. i'm kinda new here, but i'm hoping that some of the more experienced regulars could help me out.

i would like to know how to change my 6 color printer into a 4 color one. I have an SC-540 and i am already familiar on how to physically remove the heads and cables... i just need to know how to make my printer tell the ripper [versaworks] that i would be using CMYK profiles instead of the 6 color ones.

upon checking the service menu options, there is no option to indicate 4 color ink types.


any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

In the service menu there is an option for change inktype, from pigment to ecosol, not sure off hand if it gives the option to go from CMYKLCLM, to CCMMYK, but it's a plce to look.
