Compatible printer head for JV5

Hello,

Most users know that JV5 can only use original Mimaki head (IH47v head with green connector), not like JV33 can use both original head and compatible head.

But I saw some guys sell DX5 head for JV5 now, their explain is the data of printer head was modified.
Any one have experience with this?
I feel it is distrustful.

I actually have both an IH47V head and a IF33V head here that are worn out. Have not figured it out exactly yet but I have carefully removed the white silicone potting on the top of the board to determine the difference. The top of the board has zero logic - just resistors and between the 2 heads there are some with different values. My thinking is they are essentially identical heads just with some different resistance values on a couple of lines which the machines check for. Eventually when I have time I'm going to do some actual resistance measurements and try matching the IF33V heads resistors to the IH47V heads. While the head is pretty much shot I'll know if it works if I connect the IF33V head and dont get a head device construction error. Going to be quite a while before I can try this though. The other possibility is there is a logic chip on the bottom of the board - no way to get to that though.
