Need Help Converting Epson 9900 to Sublimation printer. Pros and cons, please...

Hi all,
I have an Epson Stylus Pro 9900, 44inch wide Printer.
I dont have much of color printing.
A Sublimation marketing firm advised me to start Sub. printing using the same machine.

He advised to bifurcate the 11 channels to 4+4 Sublimation, rest 3 are dedicated to Black ink, to print film positives.
Is it advisable ?
Any issues?
How to do it on a new Head.

Any advice will be valuable...

Did you have any luck with 9900 and dye sub printing?
I need a back up printer and have access to a 9900. Were you able to run only cmyk in 8 channels? Thanks
