I could cover 5 letters in transluscent for the time spent on one of those.

its cool and looks good but why? I tried to find info on it and all I pulled up was some stuff in korea and .pk web addresses

Coastal Enterprises has a resin that does the same thing. It's for lettering dimensional signage. Most sign supply houses carry coastal products.
