Electrostatic Graphtec Flatbed

Looking at a Graphtec FC 2250 electrostaic model.
We will be cutting thick laminated sheets, some intricate cuts, panels nested close together.
Has anybody had any experience with these.
If so is the vaccum essential for this kind of work or will the electrostaic version be sufficient.

The electrostatic hold down works well. But if you cut into the bed, you'll ruin it and it's not considered to be a replaceable part really. The vacuum table is what we typically sell most often.
