Fixing a previously printed mesh banner

I've for a client who brought over a giant banner they want to remove a small graphic from. It's printed on mesh.

If it is solvent ink, it is likely that gasoline will take it off...

It's printed black and the graphic is a knock out so I don't think that will work. Would hem tape and a patch work you think? Messy but the logo is so small

+1 on painting it out. It will block out the print and not look like a patch. Scuff and 1-shot.
