Flexi double contour marks

Whenever I create a print in flexi and add cut contour lines and the marks when i go to print it is creating a second set of marks. How do I get these off? When im on the main page creating and designing it shows only 1 set of registration marks but when i click print and it pops up i have a second set. Any help is appreciated, I've recently switched from Onyx rip that i've used forever till my new printer comes in with new onyx as mine is to old to upgrade and am just stumped

thanks

Theres something in the settings that is adding that second set of marks. Check your preferences in flexi....

Those are being added in the RIP software you are using. I don't know which printer and software you are using (sounded like not Onyx), but in Versa Works for Roland under Settings you will find a Printer Controls tab and under that there is a box called Crop Marks that you need to uncheck. In Rasterlink for Mimaki I we have ours set not to add cropmarks, and I think the control is a box inside of the dialog box that pops up when you first click to send it from Flexi - I think it says Include Contour Cut Paths - uncheck that box and I believe it will not add the extra cropmarks. Keep in mind, the CutContour marks you added in Flexi are seen as the outside part of the image by your RIP software, so it is adding cropmarks outside of that. Hope this helps

Is there any bleed? I know in Flexi if you have a contour cut and you add an outline for bleed it adds a second cut line around the bleed too. Not sure who would ever want that but it has been doing that for 20 years so I don't think they are going to change it anytime soon.

Let PM add the contour cut marks. You don’t need to add them to your design as long as you have designated contour cuts.
