found out today price is 585 for software upgrade not worth it to me as many people are complaining its frying the mainboard.

We use it on ours and have since it came out... really changes the speed and accuracy of the machine especially on long plots

Wasn't that only an issue with F performance on the flatbed cutters?

I had a 2015 we added it too, but now my plotters are 2021 and 2022 Camera ones, which is even more important to have that turned on.
