Gerber test print

Hello all, recently purchased a used edge classic. Not a full-time sign shop, mostly will be used for personal use printing motocross decals. I have limited experience operating the unit...in the past gave a local guy my files and he would print & cut unfortunately he relocated. Basically I need to do a "test run" to be sure the unit prints without any errors or flaws before I pay for it. Obviously I need to print a full-width test to check for dead pixels but what else should I run through it to check its operation?

I would make an 11.5" square filled with a gradient 0% - 100% and run it through both horizontally and verticaly. Check to make sure the color transition is smooth with no dark areas of banding.
