Has anyone ever been to punxsutawney, pa for groundhogs day? I have once (ok, I'm close), but its something most people would only do once....just to say they have.

This years event was a little different. I wish I would have gone!!!!

I had to ride thru Punxsy on Monday.
I look like death warmed over, but by today I bet everybody there does.
Did not make it to the Knob.

In college I was in a cover band (played local dives, college parties, and private functions) and we thought it would be funny to name the band Punxsutawney Phil, so we did but changed the "Phil" to "Pheel" just in case someone tried to sue us. It was funny until we realized no one could say it (especially when drunk) not to mention spell it. Every year around Feb 2nd I have a good laugh about it. We played around for 4-5 years and had a pretty good following.

if ya been to a any small town in PA..........punxsutawney is just like ANY OTHER.......except 1 day a year.

Jill, in that last pic... is there a groundhog hanging off the back of that lady's hat????
Think I'd be flailing around trying to knock that little dude off! Never been one for having rodents on my head.... it's creeping me out a little just thinking about it.

For myself that groundhog is right 60% of the time. I just reverse the outcome.
