gradient shift in Flexidesigner 19

Hi so I have a question... we have Flexidesigner 19 on one of our computers, when we design using gradients, the gradients always shift we we apply a proof template. This is a bought version and flexi refuses to support it as they want us on subscription. Years ago I remember it was a setting or rescripting in the software (something like that) anyone have any experience with this or know how to fix?

I've been using Flexi for a long time and like it but it does have some weird issues.

If you control click to make a copy of something with a gradient it sometimes just screws it up or makes the duplicate a solid color.
Right click / copy and paste works better.

You also can't crop a rotated bitmap unless it rotated at 90* increments...

Try rotating a bitmap to 89* or any other degree and the crop check button is grayed out.

You have to do a mask to square things up which is an unnecessary step to make proofs look nice and clean.

I've had an issue with Flexi and a gradient. I have a subscription to flexi and I've never asked them about this. I had one customer who, when I was nesting the graphics to print, I turned them sideways and it flipped the gradient around. It only happened on that one customer and it didn't happen again.
I will say, Flexi 19 had several bugs. I found a bug (unrelated to gradient) on that particular version on accident. I called them because I didn't understand what was happening. They set up team viewer and saw the issue on their end. They corrected it. I believe it was that versiou that I had the issue with the gradient. I have not had it since.

I'm running Flexi 19 too.

Not the subscription version though.

Bought it with my Inferno design computer from SignBurst computers who are great. Definitely recommend them and no I'm not getting payed for the plug... lol

I really like Flexi it but I guess all software has issues. right?

I'm not a big Photoshop guy but I can rotate a bitmap at any angle and crop it with Photoshop 7 ??? Isn't that like 20 years old lol.

Glad Im not alone... Yeah I had them fix it one time, they guided me through it. I got a new computer and redownloaded the program.. but cant remember what was done.

yeah its frustration.... I have to copy and paste my original artwork into the proof template and then scale it down manually so things wont shift.

they used to be super helpful. but has time has gone by I've worked through my own issues. so I don't call them so much.
yeah I feel ya, they were borderline rude when I called... maybe just caught the gal on a bad day. but my only option to get their help was to abandon my paid for version and subscribe... lame

I will say, I called them recently on an issue and the first thing the girl said was that I wasn't on the new version and they wouldnt be supporting the old version much longer forcing me to get flexi connect. I like it well enough though. It's the nature of the beast, I guess when you have a subscription.

I'm sure you can't get through to them. Kinda like calling Roland support... No one answers the phone, always has to be through emails and after filling out a form..

They said (Flexi) that they supported it with the driver etc but my printer always paused and left a mark every foot in the print.

Long story short they sent someone up from Philly to NJ, picked up my printer and returned it 2 weeks later .


Figured out what was up with their software & got solved on my dime I guess... Not even a $5.00 Gift card for helping them out.....
