Job Description:


Equipment Installation:

Applicants applying for this position will be required to install equipment sold by GRS at the customer’s location. During this installation the applicant will be required to uncrate and assemble the equipment, inspect the equipment for damage, properly setup/calibrate the equipment, and finally train the operator(s) on the proper use / maintenance of the equipment.


Equipment Repair:

Applicants applying for this position will be trained by GRS and/or its vendors in the proper diagnosis and repair of equipment sold by GRS. Any training time will be paid at the employee’s current pay rate. Training on the equipment will be done at GRS’ office, customer’s location or at the vendor’s location. Repairs will be performed either at the customer’s location or at our offices. Both warranty and non-warranty repairs will be performed and have separate procedures that applicant will have to follow. Applicants will be required to contact customers to schedule repairs and give customers updates on the status of the repair. Applicant will also have to document all conversations and steps performed during the repair. Applicant will also be responsible for keeping track of hours spent and any parts that were used during the repair and for putting any un-used parts back in stock.


Equipment Move:

Applicants applying for this position will be trained by GRS in the proper procedure to move equipment that we sell. Applicate will be required to transport GRS and/or Customer equipment. Applicant is responsible for the proper preparation and securement of the equipment in either a GRS vehicle, rental vehicle or on rare occasions a customer vehicle.


Software Installation and Troubleshooting:

Applicants applying for this position will be required to learn the proper procedure for installing and troubleshooting software sold by GRS. Support of the software will be done over the phone, via remote connection software (Teamviewer), or while at a customer’s location. Applicants will need to have a basic understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems. Basic knowledge of IP based networks is required but GRS can train applicant. Basic knowledge of Mac OSX is a plus but not required.


Phone Support:

Applicants applying for this position will be taking inbound technical support calls from customers while at GRS’ office and occasionally while driving or onsite at customer’s locations. The applicant will be responsible for the complete documentation of the phone call. During the phone call the applicant must be able to listen to the customer’s concerns and be able to quickly resolve the customer’s problem. Should a quick solution not be available or more research is needed the applicant will be required to inform the customer of this and follow thru with finding a resolution in a timely manner.


Tooling:

Applicants applying for this position is required to supply their own basic tooling. Any specialized tooling or jigs will be supplied by GRS. A full list of tooling is available by request.


Hours:

While at GRS’ offices applicant’s hours will be 9 AM to 5 PM Monday thru Friday except for company approved holidays. Applicants hours will vary while onsite at customer’s locations due to travel, applicant is expected to be able to be at a customer’s locations up to 2 hours away from our offices from 9 AM to 5 PM Monday thru Friday.


Lunch:

Applicant is allowed up to 30-minute lunch per day.


Travel / Overnight Trips:

This position will require overnight travel several times a year. Overnight travel will be for trade shows, training at vendor locations, and multi day installs / repairs of equipment at customer’s location. GRS will pay for all hotel, gas, rental car, or airfare for any overnight trips.


Physical Requirements:

Applicant must be able to lift equipment and supplies up to 100lbs. Applicant must be able to drive up to 4 hours each way. Applicant must be able to be on their feet up to 8 hours while working on equipment or at trade shows.


Non-Compete / Non-Disclosure Agreement:

Applicant will be required to sign a 2 year Non-Compete Non-Disclosure agreement upon employment.


Vehicle:

Applicant must have a valid and in good standing NJ Driver’s License. GRS has company vehicles when onsite visits are required. GRS also has a company trailer for larger equipment moves and the applicant must be comfortable in driving with a trailer. Should an applicant use their own vehicle because a GRS vehicle is not available GRS will reimburse for mileage/gas at $0.40/mile used for the trip. Personal vehicle use must be approved for by GRS management first. Employee must keep detailed milage log for reimbursement. If GRS selects an applicant, applicant must provide a copy of their Driver History Abstract.


Background Check:

If GRS selects an applicant, they must submit to a background check before employment.
