Head Replaced - Not Printing

Hi All,

Just replaced the cyan head on my Pro ll SC-540ex, followed everything in the service manual but now it's not printing anything from the head i just replaced.

Performed a powerful clean thinking perhaps there was air in the lines with no avail.

When I do a test print everything shows up except the CYAN.

Ribbon cable might be a little jacked or you might let it sit for like a 1/2 hour. I had the same thing and after letting it sit it worked fine.

Usually when the ribbon cable goes it will give a temp warning.

maybe I'll let it sit after this 3rd powerclean.

Most times with a new print head you need to draw ink into it manually. If you can hook a syringe up to the line that runs to that captop or just hook the syringe with a bit of tube to that spot and draw ink into the heads. From there you may need to do several reg cleanings to charge the head and get it working. You may also need to change the head rank if that printer uses one.
