Help HP/GL2 cmd error

Does anyone have any advice? I am still getting HP/GL2 cmd error on grc61 cutter. I am using Flexisign pro 7.6v2 and have 6.6 expert on Dell computer. I installed an old flexi program I had (flexi7.5) and I still get the same error, I changed the cable, checked for viruses,etc.. when I hook up to an old computer using flexi 7.5 apprentice (emachine) it cuts fine??? any ideas? So I think the cutter is fine and maybe the problem is the computer? But what is the problem? Almost bald from pulling my hair out! Thanks for any help
