I have seen that several members are having trouble creating cutlines in Adobe Illustrator.
I have created several step-by-step guides that show the workflow I use when creating cutlines in Illustrator.
I hope they may be of some use to those who are struggling.
There are two pdf guides attached to this post. One is a repost from another thread and one has not been posted before.
I would like to thank Barb @ Silvertip Graphics for her input on these guides.
The first guide covers how to prepare a sample file with a white contour around the artwork.
The second guide covers how to prepare an actual customer file with a bleed and some issues you may encounter along the way.
I have also posted the guides online. The online posts are on one continuous page and have larger images than the pdf version - good if you're working from two screens.
