HP 365 Latex Printer Screeching Sound From Carriage Movement While Printing

Hi,

I have been experiencing a screeching noise from head carriage movement from left to right while printing. It usually develops after a while - the carriage rod is adequately oiled, so I'm not sure what could be causing this issue. If anyone has experienced this and has a solution, please advise.

Printer: HP365 Latex

Are sure it's the head assembly screeching? I have a HP 700 and the maintenance carts always screech like someone is trying to kill it.

Could be a few things.
Carriage felt pad distorted and causing excess friction.
Or idler pulley bearing fallen apart
Or something else.....
The tech suggested I order a full maintenance kit for the machine. We changed the felt pads on the head carriage in the process which solved the problem. The pads were worn and broken.
