Hello all,
I'm new to both this forum, as well as this sector of the sign industry. I went through a 2 week training program, and mostly feel confident in operating the 365. However, one thing about the printer I was assigned very much boggles me. The substrate I'm using is 3M 3930. I understand that it's a reflective media, and it can be challenging to the OMAS sensor. I've cleaned the encoder strip, recently replaced the carriage belt, and deleted/ redownload an ICC profile for the 3930. I've cleaned the sensor in the maintenance cartridge area, and I've made sure that on the RIP software I'm using (Flexi 19) has the correct output profile and media profile selected. I've advanced the media to attempt calibration on different lengths of the media. And most importantly, I've cleaned the OMAS sensor on the platten itself. Does anyone with more experience have any pointers for me solving this issue? I would ask a manager but I'm one of 5 employees at my location, and since signs aren't the primary focus of my company, my manager lacks the knowledge I require to solve this. I freely welcome any suggestions!
