hp9000s media jam

our hp 9000 printer stops printing in the middle of a job
and says "media Jam" any help would be apprieciated we have
cleared and reset many times to no avail

could be a mechanical issue with something binding up. open her up and have a look maybe

our hp 9000 seemed like it fixed itself and we had a couple of weeks good printing
and today its back to "media jam" I've looked and can't find anything abnormal
any help would be apprieciated.

If the carriage moves smoothly and the paper feeds and pulls normally it could be a bad motor throwing an overcurrent error. I would have to take a look at the service error log to determine what the problem is. Time for a service call, unless you feel up to cracking open the machine.
