I bought a true virgin Mutoh Valuejet 1204 48" eco-solvent printer. NEVER had ink or hooked to a computer

So I bought an older Mutoh VJ 1204 printer that someone bought years ago with the intention of going into business, but took a different career path after purchasing it. It has never had ink or been hooked up to a computer. It is a brand new printer in factory mint condition. This is also my first large format printer. I use rip software for printing screenprinting positive film, and have a VinylExpress Q75 (Graphtec) plotter I bought new in 2008. It did not come with any software. I do all my design work in Corel then export the vectors to cut with FlexiSTARTER 10.0.1 When researching the eco-solvent ink market for this machine, I am getting slightly confused as to what inks i can run in this. If I understand correctly, Mutoh has changed the inks and you cannot use the new inks. Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It will get used regularly, but not sure about daily. Also using in Arizona so good ink is a requirement.

The model is VJ-1204AS. Not sure what the AS stands for, but i've seen different letters after the 1204.

The original ink for that machine was called Eco Ultra ink. Now it's just called MS31. It's still a current product and you can get it from any Mutoh dealer. If you want to save money, Bordeaux also has a third party option that works well.

Also most common parts for the 1204 are still available. Up until recently Mutoh made a version that printed on grommeted banner media. Most 1324x parts are compatible as well.
