i1 match ICM intent setting for test chart

In i1 match profile creation... I go to "print chart"

A print dialogue box opens, and I click on "preferences".
In the preferences box, I click on "advanced".

I am presented with the attached window and circled the area in question.

Should I leave this on "pictures" (perceptual), or should it be set to something else?

If you're printing patches to make your ICC, there should be no color conversion on that print at all. Therefor, it doesn't matter what rendering intent is chosen since it will not come into play.

Makes sense! I do print the chart using "density control only".
