Issue printing from Flexi 8.1 to HP z2100 44" on sheet media

I Just got a "New to me" printer (hp z2100 44" that I picked up for $500)
I've done a few test prints on roll media and all is good. The problem I run into is with sheet fed media.
If I load a sheet and print normally trough the windows driver everything is good.
But if I try rip (need alignment marks to contour cut later) it cuts the print off by an inch or 2. I don't mean physically cuts the media, just that it seems to stop printing and misses the last bit of the image, whether it be the image itself of the image and alignment mark.

Size doesn't seem to matter as some of my tests were printing a 22"x10" image on a 24"x24" sheet, still misses the last inch or so.

Any ideas?

More than likely, when you are loading as cut-sheet media, the printer is assuming that standard sized (ANSI or ISO) sheets are being used. ANSI for example a standard ANSI C cut sheet is 22x17 inches.

I would load as a Roll instead which is undefined in the length direction. You are probably better off sticking with roll media vs cut sheet.

With the HP Vivera pigment ink in that plotter, you must use aqueous-coated media, as the inks will not bond with uncoated products.

at first I thought that so I tested with different print sizes... so lets say I put in a 24x30 sheet. and I print off a 22x25 inch image... it cuts off an inch off of the image.
Using that same paper I print a 12x 12 inch image and it still cuts off an inch. doesn't see to matter what size... just that it's a sheet rather than a roll

I did think of trying that, but ran out of time.
I will try loading a sheet as a roll when I get a chance.

Tried loading a sheet as a roll... didn't work, says it's too narrow. I was loading a letter size sheet this time as for heatpress sheets it will either be letter or ledger size.

I did however solve the problem.

On the RIP screen, in the advanced tab, there is the driver options button. In here it has drop down for paper source.
Default setting was AUTO, other options were roll or sheet.
Changed this to sheet and it's working fine now.
