I'm sure that there are a few users of that famous PDF reader. This takes me back to PDFs being able to use the browser that opened and views them to infect all OSs (well at least the 3 well known ones, can't remember about the *BSD family (outside of Mac that is)). Although that was due to the browser plugin itself.
This is tied to the JS engine that is in Reader that people use for interactive forms etc: article
Bare in mind, Ps and other programs in the suite have JS engines them (scripting capabilities after all, I know of at least one user on here that likes to do that with CC programs).
While this, I don't think, exploit cannot be utilized in the other programs due to how they parse the PDF is different compared to Reader, just something to keep in mind.
Scripting is one of those things that has it's pros and cons.
