Looking for a 6mil Adhesive

Hoping someone can help me out here. We run a material called V600 from Flexcon that we really like. It is a 6mil permanent adhesive with what I am told is a double layer adhesive on the back (just 2 layers, not double sided adhesive). This product sticks absurdly good to our customers plastics that they use and we want to see if we can find a replacement for it. Flexcon recently changed the order minimum to 8 rolls (about $8k) and a lead time of 3 - 6 months. We can't hold that inventory as we don't go through quite that much. We are looking for a very comparable vinyl that we can use while not having that high of a minimum or lead time.

I've got a 3mil, 7 year high coat weight and high tack adhesive vinyl that sticks like grim death to everything. 54'x150' rolls are $301.00. I know it isn't 6mils but it is available and a fraction of the cost you are using now. Even if you put a matching laminate to gain thickness you'll still be saving hundreds. I can send you hand samples or if you want a test roll, email me your UPS account number. The test rolls are free they just want you to cover the few bucks to get it to you.

Thanks for the reply Mark. I talked to the boss and he was very adamant that we want to try and find a 6 mil. The vinyl is for a medical company and are very very strict on their specs, we have tossed out the idea of going thinner vinyl thicker laminate. But when they apply on their machines the texture comes through the vinyl and they are unhappy about that. When we then tested the 6mil it was thick enough that it covered the texture and created a smooth surface so we would like to stick to something like that.

Do you have any suggestions for something in a 6mil?

Thanks for all the replies, we have tried most of the suggestions, of GF220 and Oracal 3258. I guess the adhesive wasn't thick enough to our liking.

Wow!
These two signs have been up for three years and still look great, one is on the beach side.
Both done with General Formulations 220.

Glad to see that those are holding up so well beach side in Florida. However, we are using these for a different application, and when tested the customer was not happy.

If you want the ultimate stick, you can't beat Substance X2!! All of their stuff is amazing!!
Thanks! Yes, we talked to them and they seemed very responsive, much better than our other supplier. They are shipping us some samples. Closest in spec to our other material we have seen so far. We have a feeling that it is either going to be close enough that no one will really notice the difference, if not spot on.
