Magnet Help

I have a client who owns a grocery store and has some aluminum panels with a magnet base applied to them for magnetic receptive strips to label the sections. They just emailed about an issue and I have no idea what it could be. It almost looks like adhesive marks from tearing off the magnetic base? Has anyone seen this happen before?

Materials are:
.080 aluminum
Magnum Magnetics EnGage Magnet Base
Magnum Magnetics DigiMaxx EnGage Receptive
