Mil thickness

Okay. HP says the max thickness for material for the l25500 is 19.7mil. Correct?

Then why do they make a profile for the 3M 4090 DG3. If the material is 22mil thick.

I'm confused can you print on this or can't you?

1 mil equals .001 inch, or in other words one-thousandth.

You're only talking another 2.3 thousandths...approximately half the thickness of a piece of printer paper. This amount is practicaly negligible.


People sometimes confuse mils with millimeters. A millimeter is approximately 39 mils.

I know that is what they say, but I run .030 magnet material through the L25500 without any problems.
