mimaki jv3-75 flexi

hi just got used jv3-75 using it with flexi but the print is so slow it prints one run then cleans head it keeps doing this till it finished the print have i got a setting wrong please help my head is nipping that much i feel like getting rid of the lot .it took 1 hour to print a flag 18"x24"help appreciated.

i thought about this a bit and im going to chime i and say the internal wiping setting is wrong ..youll have to access this though the on the printer panel screen..go to functions>maintanance scroll thru there see if there is internal wiping
now im sure there is a read about it in your manual

Gary's suggestion seems the obvious solution but...

Are you using the firewire?

It will do this if you have it running through a slow parallel port.
