Mimaki TS500P + Onyx Thrive 22.5

Hi All,

Looking for some help if anyone has some experience with this!

We have a Mimaki TS500P and Onyx Thrive 22.5.

We've had the machine professionally profiled in Onyx, however it appears that there are some challenges with dot controls being locked within the print drivers. We get a very grainy print in low color values, and with testing of multiple dithers, variable dot controls and resolutions, the result is always the same.

It's not an issue with the printer capability as the results in RasterLink are smooth in the low color values.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

You should check the GCR-Settings in the Color Management-Settings. Seems so that you need to set the black start higher.

Thanks Frank, Yes I think that is an option, however the Blue, Magenta and Yellow all come in with the largest dot size at the lowest color values too, similar to the black.
