Mimaki UJF-3042FX Price in Toronto

Hi guys, I have been a lurker for a while now reading many posts. I am in the market for a UJF 3042FX to replace a pad stamping machine used to label small plastic kit boxes we assemble for the hardware industry.

Is list price a typical price for this printer. Dealers I have spoken to will only quote list price ($31,995) plus delivery and training. Also should the 6 ink cartridges be extra or included in the price of the printer?

Mimaki 3042 versus Direct Color Systems 1024 UV

I own both machines and the verdict is:

I am not exaggerating that on a scale from 1-10

Mimaki 3042: 10
Direct Color System: 1, or if possible a 0

Anyone out there heard of Direct Color Systems?

Please contact me before buying their $32,000 printer. It is a huge mistake
