Hi All,
It seems that i may have bricked the printer, I had recently aquired this printer as a donor for another that i have,
The printer came with a printhead that was substantially blocked so i cleaned it with the best i could(headsoaks, ultrasonic printhead flushing reverse, forward flushing) i was able to get it to maybe print on atleast 90% capacity for a day or two, then suddenly, it threw me a E075Err Head temp error, i had assumed that i had blew the head up with the way i had cleaned it, it was all good as i had another printhead on the way, anyway, to keep diagnosing the printer i installed a head that was not working but was not shorted and it worked for just being able to go through menus and familliarising my self with the printer,
one day i had decided that i wanted to see if the printhead that i cleaned, could work (in hindsight i shouldve just left it and waited for the new printhead) so i cleaned the terminals, and thought that it might be what caused the ER075 error,
i plugged it all in, then to my surprise i didnt get the ER075 error and it booted up all good,
I tried a nozzle check and it started printing these horizontal lines, there and then i thought that i had shorted the mainboard,
i tried the following items
Replaced it with a new printhead - same issue exist as the older head did
replaced cables, and tested them that both sets i had wasnt shorted,
replaced the Carriage bord, both gave me the same issues
replaced the encoder strip from another printer, same issue persists,
i replaced the epson driver chips (circled in blue on image 5) from a donor board, still same issue exist
i checked if all encoder sensors where working on the service menu and they all seem to be getting values,
I tried doing head signal checks as well on image 2, as you can see, each channel seems to be not shorted as it will fire individual channels without other colors being fired,
i noticed that the horizontal lines appear even before it starts printing outside the margin, this seems to happen when its receiving print data, or when the head is about to move for its firing pass,
i know that it might be a long shot, but would anyone have a clue of what is happening and what might be a possible fix i could do?
i have a donor board, which is currently ink locked, i am waiting i orderd 1 cartridge which i am waiting for so i can try it, i have low hopes for this donor board to work as i could not get it to fire before, but i found that the slow blow F1 fuse is blown so i will try swap that out, although i think this board could have the same issue as ive had a particular head which may have caused the issue plugged in the same board,
i really want to get this Hybrid printer to work as i currently dont have any UV printer in my arsenal and i have a lot of jobs waiting for it,
Any help or input from anyone would be greatly apprciated.
Thanks in advance,
