Mutoh Falcon II Outdoor 64 CALIBRATION?

This poor old thing we print on looks like its been to war & back.
But it works quite well.
Well, except for the fact that it changes colors often.

We printed out a Pantone color chart in March.
Another in April and they don't match.

We use Onyx Production house rip.
We mostly use the same Orajet 3651G 54" adhesive vinyl.

I have confirmed its not RGB/CMYK settings.
Oh, and the ONLY way black prints right is if its:
C 100% M 100% Y 100% K 100%

Help.
How do i calibrate this thing?
Is there possibly something else wrong?

Color drift is very common. Especially if you have temperature and humidity changes where the printer lives.

Proper "calibration" needs to be done with a spectrophotometer. One of the most popular is the i1 by X-Rite. Note that to simply do a "calibration" all you need is the instrument. To make a proper media profile, which is much more than a "calibration", you'll also need profiling software that the i1 is often bundled with.

And i hate to bring the bad news, but onyx doesn't do such a hot job of re-calibrating. Even if you'd created a proper media profile from scratch, no matter how good it was the day you made it, you may have to redo large portions of it to get repeatable results.

create a new profile

you can create a new profile for the media or to re-linearize the media.
production house allow you to do that with the eye1
