Need a new printhead. Suggestions?

In replacing dampers, the black was not printing correctly.
Drew some ink through the new damper and then realized that the nipple to the print head was broken off in the damper.
That's what you get when you have gorilla hands.
I am telling myself that it was broken already and I just helped it along.

In looking on the web, I have found them from $513 and up.
Looking for suggestions on the best place to buy one without getting a second mortgage.

Just out of curiosity, why does digiprint supplies have it at $513 and yours is $645?
That's a pretty big difference.

If you just broke the manifold, you can replace that for $29.99 and be on your way! Here's a link.

Also, I won't sugar coat it about the price, our techs are better. Not only do we work in the field, we get trained by Mimaki and Mutoh on most new machines so we're always up to date. Digiprint has people who you can talk to, if you can get a hold of them, but they tend to be general customer service types rather than techs with any experience. We also pride ourselves in getting you up and running for as cheap as possible. We don't recommend expensive parts unless absolutely necessary. Whereas if you asked the question to Digitprint above, they would have told you to get a new head when a manifold will do.

Well hell, I wish you had lead off with that information.
Now, I have to try and cancel and order from them.

Hello
You have to be very careful when you change a manifold because if the o-ring is not placed in the correct way ink can pass through the electrical board in the printhead and cause a short circuit and this will be more expensive than just a head. some times the cheap way is the most dangerous but if you have experience you can try to change the manifold.
