need suggestion for optically clear window film!

i am in a pickle. no time. huge project. don't trust my current materials and techniques for the miracle that has to happen in the next five days.

i have a 211 x 38 diptych to do. two layers. metal on the back, acrylic floated slightly larger about 1.5" over it with a second image mounted on the front of the acrylic. the wall is slightly concave.

usually i would print the top layer on a .040 PETG and mount that to the acrylic using a special clear epoxy. keep in mind this is a textural print that looks like melted glass. the image can not go on the back of the acrylic.

the epoxy will not cure fast enough, also i don't trust it for the next fifty years being concave. it's a tricky material that i do not like using.

what type of film might i use? ...needs to be optically clear, never have any yellowing or peeling or delamination issues that could be wet applied? this material would be exposed to solvents during fabrication during the process so it can't fog up if i were to spray it with lacquer thinner.

possibly it might be better to use a pressure sensitive polyester? but i'd need to allow for time to run it to someone that could mount it and we have NO time for any hiccups in the fabrication.

thanks in advance.

I have a good optically clear face mount, which ones have you used in the past?

i've never clear face mount. i've always epoxied my substrates together.

but it's not mounting film that i need. i want to print the image on a window film and apply it to the acrylic.

Well why not use face mount for that? You print your image and apply this to the top then mount it to your substrate. Am I missing something?

i don't own a laminator (at least a good one). i have a giant broken walco, and another old walco 48" premasker. we've always avoided laminating because the customers hear"laminate" and run off. not that wet applying an optically clear window film is better. i am just being forced to re-engineer on a very tight schedule.

i once saw an optically clear window film add don't remember if it was 3m or ora.

yuck. is there even such a thing as printables that won't fog up when sprayed with laquer thinner?

Quit buggin' me
I have had good luck printing on Oracal 290GF.
It is not listed as a digital print material but has worked well so far.
Not sure about it fogging when exposed to solvent, works with my eco-solvent ink (mutoh).

print on 3m 8518 optically clear lam? It's thin, would prolly have to premask it to apply but it would do what you want nicely.
