Need to print halftone dots using roland sp540 with flexisign pro

Normally we try to avoid gradient halftone dots, however to print current job we need to make a simple transition from black to red with haltone dots being visible. Any advice what settings to use within production manager. Currently experimenting with angled screen diffusion, but can't get it just right Thanks

probably easier to make it in illustrator/corel

We have tried that however when we bring it back into flexi, and sent to printer the halftone dots are gone. I am assuming due to the fact that the production manager settings. I can get halftone dots to print by using angled screen but in the middle of transition from red to black, white dots are there ???

create a vector halftone pattern - dont just 'output' with halftone settings
