I am not familiar with this toolin flexi as in Photoshop, trying to trace a graphic. Click one point then click and drag for the curve, no worries, then the next curve is goofy? am i missing a button, alt, control? thanks

It's about the same, you'll have to adjust the handles.
No need for any other keys.
Can you post a pic of your problem?

in illustrator you click the anchor point a second time and it breaks one of the handles off so the next curve is not effected by the first.

i'm not sure if that makes sense if you haven't done it. but you click then move to where your next point will be and click .. drag out the curve then click that second point again and the second handle for the bezier will disappear. i'm not sure if this works in flexi..

I think the main issue with Flexi's bezier pen too that a user needs to adapt to is that it defaults to a symmetrical control point when you draw. Thus pulling at the length or angle is affecting both sides of the curve at the same time. It would be much more useful and intuitive if it defaulted to just a smooth point.

The control for this is most easily established by having the Design Central module open and handy so that you can simply click on the kind of control point and/or segment desired as you go. You can also accomplish the same thing with the Alt key but it is considerably less intuitive than is the Design Central IMHO.

My general approach when hand drawing with the bezier pen is to mainly focus on where I want the point to be and at what angle. Then I do an editing pass after laying down the object to finalize what I want. It just seems to be the most efficient way to get a quality vector in place.
