Plotter connection

Greetings,

It's been a while since I've bought a new vinyl plotter, so I'm a little out of the loop. Are there such things as network attached plotters i.e. ones that can be accessed directly through the network? Or are they all USB connection to a computer?

I'm running my Graphtec FC8600 on my network.

Not sure what other brands do the same but I'm sure most do.
