I think my little hp 315 is headed on the way out. I am looking for a new printer. i'm hoping to take my time getting a new one. I do want an HP latex. but I keep hearing bad reviews on some of them so I wanted to know which ones are the good ones. I'm not getting anything with white ink.

Thanks in advance.

Didn't Stacey K just get a new printer sort of recently? I think hers is a Latex printer.
I can't help you, we don't have any latex printers.

but, it really isn't that long since you got it (at least to my perspective)
the 730 is a really nice machine, though

Arial Sucks.
We have two HP 360 models and a 700W. The 360 models are old, but still holding up. The 700W does print white ink. The prints it makes are great for backlit displays (sign faces, point of purchase cabinets, etc.). The 700W can be temperamental; we've had a couple of maintenance issues with it so far. The biggest thing I dislike about it is all the damned noise it makes. When the printer gets into a cycle of head cleaning or loading white ink it makes all kinds of racket (loud knocks, clicks, whirrs and other noise pollution) for a solid 20 or so minutes. I gotta be listening to music on my headphones to block out the noise so I don't lose my temper.

I have had it 7 years...
I've really taken good care of it and made sure everything is replaced.
Last month I replaced the hard drive. For some reason it still won't color callibrate
Yesterday I replaced 2 other boartds.
(well, my tech did).
My tech told me that once the boards start going out, it's just matter of time...But, since time seems to have stopped for you too.. (yes it seems like yesterday I bought it myself)...what do you think? I know you don't have a crystal ball, but I'd love someone elses perspective.

i would be curious what damonca21 has to say and some of the younger guys who work on these every day, as well as solvent inkjet
