Ps3?

My son wants a netbook and a PS3 for Christmas. He said a friend told him that he could use the PS3 as a computer. Husband and I stopped at Game Stop tonight and the guy said "yes" but only with the older fat models. He said we would have to install Linux for the operating system and get a wireless keyboard.

Anybody using a PS3 for a computer?

I don't use it as a computer, but it easily could be used as one. I would definitely suggest the wireless keyboard and mouse for it. I absolutely love my PS3, blu-Ray movies, Internet capable, and countless other features! It was definitely worth the $600 I paid for mine 2 years ago. I have the 60gb with backwards compatibility also which is great bc I love some of my older games!
