RIP general questions/help

Good morning everyone, this is my first time joining a forum so if this is not the correct place to ask this question, I am generally sorry. I currently have a Mutoh VJ 1324X, I use onyx rip center 12 Mutoh edition . I purchased a new computer with Windows 11 and I cannot get the Onyx to recognize my sentinel key. I’ve tried everything in my realm of knowledge to try to get it to work and I cannot. I also purchased vinyl master XPT with a built-in rip that seemed to work other than it would not print my ARMS registration marks correctly anything over 2 inches in height , it changed the dimensions. Only length not width. I did reach out to future Corp. I honestly had no luck with the resolution. I am going to be honest I really did like the design and functionality of vinyl master XPT I just wasn’t able to get a correct printer file from them and I do believe there’s a large time difference between their headquarters and where I live, the responses were always a full day apart so I think a lot of stuff got crossed in translation.I do this as a hobby. I am not a business. I understand this is not a cheap hobby, but to each his own, I am just looking for advice/solutions on what I should do with my current rip software or purchasing a new software, I will be honest I am strongly opposed to any subscription based software, and I do realize that limits my options. I would just like to say in advanced thank you for any responses and your time.

vinyl master XPT with a built-in rip my be the culprit. Have you tried uninstalling it and rebooting?

Yes I did , I can communicate with local port 1947 and it does see the dongle key but the program won’t open keeps giving me an (H0042) . I have downloaded and installed the latest sentinel window gui program and it still won’t work. Thanks for your reply

Onyx 12, with particular regard to the Sentinel key recognition, is not compatible with Windows 11. You have to upgrade to Onyx 21 or newer to use Windows 11.

that’s why I was afraid of, Do you have any other suggestions for a rip program other than onyx or a subscription based service. Thank you again.

You need a RIP. There's not really any way around it. I use Onyx. I do not use the subscription; I just buy it and it's good for quite a while--usually as long as I have the printer.
