Need Help Roland MO-240 Rotary Rack White->CMYK Help Needed

Hello,

I have been using the Roland MO-240 printer with the additional rotary rack attachment, but I would like to print white and CMYK simultaneously.

Currently, to print a white layer followed by a CMYK layer on top, I create one job using only the white special color, then another job for CMYK. I then combine the two into a layer job in VersaWorks 7. I use this method because, when I switch the system to rotary mode in VersaWorks 7, I lose the typical “White → CMYK” mode and only have separate White and CMYK modes available. This can be seen in this video starting at 07:25:
.

As shown in the video, the printer first lays down the entire white image around the cylindrical object, then resets before printing the CMYK layer. Normally, in flatbed mode, I can use the “White → CMYK” mode to print both layers simultaneously as the printhead moves back and forth. However, in rotary mode, I can’t figure out how to get white and CMYK to print simultaneously, as one would expect.

If anyone could help with this, it would be greatly appreciated. I spoke with someone at a conference in Florida a few weeks ago who mentioned that they were able to print white with CMYK on top in a single pass. Unfortunately, they didn’t provide much detail other than suggesting that the machine might need to be in maintenance mode.

Any help would be appreciated. Please let me know if you need any clarification.

Thank you.
