Roland XC-540 no power for 2 months...

Need your help here.

I've got a call from a friend's wife who past away 2 months ago. She's telling me that I could buy his 3 years old Roland XC-540. The printer has been transported and unplugged for about 2 months by people who don't know anything about printers. She say the printer power up but can't give me more details.

Questions:
- What should I expect to clean/repair/change parts?
- What should I offer her for the printer?

She is about 6 hours from me. So I can't make print test.

Thanks for your help.

If everything is dried up and the heads can't be recovered you are looking at
six heads at 825.00 each
12 dampers at 19.00 each
6 cap tops at 30.00 each
and maybe a couple of pumps at 80.00 each

have someone fire it up and run a test pattern, i can send the tech manual if you need one

Yeah, Magenta is usually the first to dry up when left for a while. A good clean / perhaps syringe and captop should get it going. otherwise looks quite good.
