Scroll bracket sign hanging

Hey guys, Have a customer opening a new place in town and i want to approach them with a nice sign idea since they haven't gotten that far yet (they are building the building from the ground up as i type this)

I will be using a 24" scroll bracket and was wondering if i should hang it with a quick link on each side or is there another way? Will be using a aluminum blank for the sign itself.

Thanks!

I personally don't like just using an "S" hook or a quick link for hanging a sign. When the sign pivots your pivot point is at the top of the hole in the sign, which eventually leads to the sign failing at that point.

I like to use shackles instead. If you use one like the one pictured you can replace the bar with a threaded bolt. Tighten it down with the bolt going through the sign until the two sides pinch the metal. Then use a quick link or swivel link to connect it to the bracket. It will eliminate the stress point on the sign and will last longer.

The shackles are only a couple of bucks at Lowes and HD.

Thank you!

swinging signs always fall, just a matter of how long they last. The "shackle" method is the way to go, several variations of it. Stainless steal is also very important or the sign will have rust stains all over it in no time, always great advice on here!
