Seeking advice on purchasing a 2.5x3 flatbed printer with a budget of under 200k

I'm looking to upgrade my equipment and I'm in the market for a large format flatbed printer.

I'm seeking a machine that offers a good quality-price ratio without sacrificing reliability and versatility. I need a printer that can handle a decent workload.

Key requirements:

• Reliability: I'm looking for a sturdy and durable machine with a long lifespan.
• Updates: It's important to me that the chosen brand is committed to developing and updating their machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Support: Efficient and responsive technical support is essential.

I'm particularly interested in knowing:

• Which models have you used?
• What are the pros and cons you've encountered?
• How would you rate the technical support provided by the manufacturer?

It's a good thing most flatbeds are less than 200k.

My recommendation would be to create 3-5 action items that you NEED to have.

Understand your target. Does their application constitute 40%+ of the capacity of that machine?

Then, go to a trade show and touch and feel.

Service/Training is the most important. Your gut will tell you.

Can't say too much about different flatbeds but our Epson V7000 has treated us very well.

Pros
We've ran it all day for 3 years now and haven't had any hardware issues.
Bang for the buck, considered to be "entry level" machine
Great print quality
Don't need a second pass to print white or varnish.

Cons
Slow in comparison to other machines, Coro sheets take 7 min, Higher quality prints range by print mode, range from 15-30 min
Software has some quirks, easy to use but wish for more quality of life stuff
I wish the vacuum was stronger. Gets the job done but could be better.
Print area is like 49.5x 98 or something, so no 5x10s

Support is amazing, Epson has there own dedicated team for the v7000, usually get a hold of them right away. Most issues can be fixed by remote login unless its actually hardware but haven't experienced that yet.

I know it's by no means the best printer out there but if you're a medium sized shop and looking for a great bang for buck machine its a perfect fit. Especially if its your first flatbed.

We researched a lot and ended up deciding upon a Fluid Color flatbed. Awaiting delivery currently.
Edit, apparently they do not make one that size, sorry.
