Hi guys,I have a printer question. I just picked up a Seiko colorpainter 64s. My question is about Flexisign pro 10.
I have been using flexi for about 13 years now. In the older versions, in the production manager when you wanted to add a setup you had a choice of cutter, printer or hybrid devices. Well, we went to install the printer using the SCSI cable and had an SCSI card added to our PC but under the Prod. Mgr. setup there is no option for printer or hybrid devices any longer.
I thought 10 pro had a RIP?
What am I missing or doing wrong. Wraps/printing is new to us, but FlexiPro and vinyl cut signs are not. The shop we bought the printer from is using flexipro 8.2 and has no problems and it looked like it was as easy as it should be. (they have been alot of help but i cant expect them to babysit us through this, part of the reason i bought the printer was because they were able to print/show us with what we are familliar with)
I guess its this SCSI cable that has us puzzled. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Do i need to drop back to 8.2 for simplicity?
Just a little history, I have spent the last 13 years running a traffic sign shop for someone else. I finanlly decided to open my own shop which now has a retail storefront. Not only do we still manufacture traffic signs/cut vinyl signs but we also are trying to add wraps and printed media to the menu. We have atleast 2 people a day wanting a quote for something that can/should be printed or want a wrap quote, so it was silly not to offer this service as well.
Again, thanks for the help, Alex
