Serial Key issue for raterlink pro5 for mimaki jf1631

OK so a year ago I bought a used jf1631 and it came with a dongle key but no software. But at that time I was told to call Grimco and they would be able to activate the software...and they did. They access my computer remotely and put in the serial key number and I never got it myself. Well that computer has gone down, grimco no longer works with mimaki and I have tried mimaki but they have been no help. So now I have a printer that has worked for over a year, with a new computer and a dongle key but no serial key and no where to turn.

Any thoughts on this? Anyone run into this before?

Does the dongle have a unique user number on it? If it does, Mimaki should be able to look up the serial key. Unfortunately, the only way to get a key is to buy one or get Mimaki to help you out. It seems odd that Grimco wouldn't give you a copy of the key after installing it. Are you sure it's a legit copy?
