Hello All:
I am a complete new user.
I must start by stating that I am in no way a sign maker, and do not use this for vinyl, but this is the only forum that come close to my situation.
I am a clothing designer. I am using the software (and a Vevor B1350 vinyl cutter ) to print and cut patterns; or , at least, that is my hope.
I have managed to figure out how to bring my designs into the software and scale them. I have also figure out how to seperate lines and text by colour so that I can plot one and cut the other.
I have (almost) grasped the method of cutting paper while plotting. In vinyl cutting you only have to worry about cuting through the vinyl layer, while leaving the backing in tact. To cut my patterns, I need to cut through the paper, but without seperating the paper, so the paper can still feed. Perf cut didn't really want to do it, so I changed my line style to dashed line (1" cuts with 1/16" spaces). It works well for smaller pieces but when they get large, It f@cks up.
The main problem that I am having though, is figuring out how to plot with the pen, on the first pass, and getting it to return to the same point of origin, before switching to a knife, to cut. Any feedback would be helpfull.
I would then like the paper to advance a couple of inches and cut along the full width of the paper, at the end.
I value any thoughs on any of my issues.
Thanks
