Solid Siding Stain on HDU?

I'm planning to use the Cabot Solid 100% acrylic siding stain on HDU to match an existing sign system (which is made from wood). I'm thinking...."No Problem!"

Has anyone tried this? Am I asking for trouble?

Any and all advice is appreciated!

I use solid color Cabot stain on HDU all the time, works great.
