SP-300v Print with Black ink within C,M, & Y. Any help please

Hello There

I have been getting black ink within my test prints, along with bad prints no matter what i do. Contamination on all colours.

I have cleaned out all lines, new dampers and caps ordered, awaiting arrival
New ink catriges arriving today Thursday. Hoping to get this printer sorted without having to replace the heads.
Everything was working until i replaced the sponge that catches the dropped ink in front of wipers.
Not sure if the replacement might be too thick and causing my issues, or something more sinister.

Any help would be grateful.

Cheers
Tommy

Hopefully using genuine Roland dampeers and caps, the 3rd part are junk. You get what you pay for.
The pump most likely needs to be changed as well, cap height adjust in service menu.
You may also have a electronic issue with the black head.
You can swap the signal or heads between the two and follow where the problem goes, basic troubleshooting technique.

Thank you for your reply.

Yes ordered all genuine parts and ink.
Not been into the service menu yet. How do i do that and adjust the cap height?
I am replacing the easiest the now to see if any of them are at fault.

What do you mean by electronic issue with black head?

I am going to put new ink in today (Thursday) when they arrive and flush the lines.
Never even gave the pump a thought as it was print related. Can this also contribute?

Just odd that the black is printing in the yellow and magenta.
Left head is C/K and right head is Y/M, so asking why is the black firing on theY/M??
That is the question to be answered after you replace the parts and the pump.
Can you run the VW test print and post it.

I thought the very same, as seperate colours for each head. I am thinking i am very unlucky and both heads have went at the same time or something else is the cause. All channels are contaminated which doesn't make sense at all. Once the ink arrives, i will install that and give the printer a flush and clean everything. Check all cables i can see and clean them also again. THis is frustrating me as i have never come accross this ever in all my time owning printers, let alonne this one.

I will post a new VW test print once i do this, as i am not sure when the dampers and caps will arrive. Attached the old VW test print for reference

Regards
Tommy
